Distance Education Course

The Japanese Distance Education course is designed to cater towards the requirement of vast demand for learning Japanese language through out the world. The Course materials consist of Hayakawa’s Learn Japanese CD & Hayakawa’s Learn Japanese Text Book, which contains reading, writing, listening and spoken comprehension material for learners of Japanese Language to undergo training in all aspects and prepare them to appear for Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Level 4.

The JLPT exam is conducted by Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchange and Services Government of Japan on first Sunday of every December all over the world. The application for JLPT is available from first of August and the last date of submitting application is first of September. There are four levels in JLPT, Level 4 is basic and Level 1 is advanced. The result is published during mid of February.

The examinee has to master the basic elements of grammar, knows around 100 kanji and 800 words, the ability to engage in simple conversation and to read and write short, simple sentences. This level is normally reached after studying Japanese for around 150 hours.

 

Learning procedure

The students can first learn Japanese alphabets Hiragana & Katakana scripts along with their sound and stroke order. After going through the script, they can start learning lesson by lesson and proceed to learn Kanji from lesson 4 onwards. Every lesson contains grammar and the students are expected to go through carefully and learn systematically


Distance Education Online class
The student has to study first 2 lessons before attending the first online class. The online classes twice a week is to clear the doubts. The schedule of the classes will be informed to the students well in advance.

Procedure

 Step 1 Join the Course
 Step 2 Install Hayakawa’s learn Japanese CD
 Step 3 Study until lesson 2
 Step 4 Attend the first online class & clear the doubts

Once the students complete the course successfully they are eligible for the JLPT level 4 examination conducted by Japanese government on first sunday of every December.
